    Compare screw-in tent pegs

The best screw-in tent pegs for your trip depend on the ground and what you need to anchor. Compare the models below, from Small pegs for ground matting to Peg&Stop Heavy Duty for heavily compacted soil. Hardcore Peggy is the hammer-in, screw-out alternative for very hard ground.

    Small (S)

How to use screw-in camping pegs

    1. Check the soil.Match the peg to the ground and your attachment. Frozen or extremely hard ground may need pre-drilling.
    2. Use the right tool.Follow your model's instructions and torque limit. Stop at resistance or the limit; do not force an adjustable peg fully in. Hardcore Peggy is hammered in.
    3. Adjust, then attach.Position the hook or lock nut correctly before tensioning your guy line or securing your plate. Recheck the anchoring if the ground conditions change.
