How to Adapt Your Awnlux Boxstyle Awning to Our Anchor Plate 2.0

At Peggy Peg, we strive to create versatile and efficient solutions for your camping needs. If you have an Awnlux awning with a box-style design (see picture above), we have a simple solution to make it compatible with our Anchor Plate 2.0.

Adjusting the Anchor Plate for Awnlux Awning Feet

Awnlux awning feet can be adapted to fit our Anchor Plate 2.0 with a minor modification. Focus on the inner side of the anchor plate (refer to the highlighted area in the attached picture). This adjustment can be done using a Dremel, file, or sandpaper. Rest assured, this modification won’t compromise the functionality of the plate.

This is how your Anwlux foot will fit in once you do this slight adjustment. The sliders won't close entirely, but this will not affect the functioning of the plate. If you want, you can slightly cut/grind a slot into the sliders (at the red marks on the 4th picture below); however, since essentially the pole will block the sliders, it makes more sense to just go with the minor adjustment.

Good News

We've talked to Anwlux, and they said that they will adapt their foot for future awning productions to be compatible with our anchor plates. YAY! However, anyone currently owning one of the many Awnlux awnings can use the above method to make it fit to our plates.
